What Is Title I?
Title I, Part A is a federal education program designed to provide students with fair, equitable and high-quality educational opportunities.
Title I funding is directed to eligible districts and schools based on measures of economic need. Participating schools use these resources to strengthen instruction and provide additional academic support.

When Title I services are provided directly to particular students, multiple academically related measures may be considered. No single score or observation determines a student’s needs by itself.

Annual Plan
Parent and Family Engagement Policy
The Parent and Family Engagement Policy describes how families are involved in an organized, ongoing and timely way in planning, reviewing and improving the Title I program.
Families may contact the school office to request the current policy or ask how to participate in the annual review process.
Shared Agreement
School-Parent Compact
The School-Parent Compact explains how families, students and school staff share responsibility for academic achievement and work together to build a strong learning partnership.
The compact is reviewed with families and distributed as part of the school’s Title I communication.
Michigan School Meals
No-Cost School Meals and Education Benefits
Through Michigan School Meals, breakfast and lunch are currently provided at no cost to students, regardless of household income.
Families are still encouraged to complete the Education and Nutrition Benefits Application or Education Benefits Form provided by the district. Completing the form is not required for a student to receive no-cost breakfast or lunch.
The information collected helps the district qualify for important educational funding and may help eligible families access additional school or community benefits.
